Exciting news at MAHLE chargeBIG: Dr. Matthias Kreimeier – currently CSO – takes the lead and becomes the new CEO at chargeBIG. He replaces Sebastian Ewert, who will leave the company at his own request on 30 April 2024 to take on a new challenge outside the MAHLE Group. We would like to thank Mr Ewert for his outstanding commitment and his valuable contribution to chargeBIG and wish him all the best and much success in his new task for the future.
Dr. Matthias Kreimeier has been CSO for MAHLE chargeBIG since 1 March 2023 and is responsible for sales, project management and marketing. Prior to that, he had already worked in the field of e-mobility for 9 years and established and managed the sales of a new German electric car manufacturer. Since joining, he has been actively working on the further development and scaling of chargeBIG.
The vision of MAHLE chargeBIG is that every parking lot has a charging point. “Parking should be like a shop,” adds Dr Matthias Kreimeier. The chargeBIG approach is to bundle the intelligent technology of the charging infrastructure centrally in a charging cabinet, so that only the plug holder must be installed at the parking lot itself. This centralized system approach and intelligent load management reduces costs in both purchase and installation, operation and maintenance. „Our approach of a centralized charging solution creates new possibilities of scalability, so that significantly more charging points can be created at one location,” says CEO Dr. Kreimeier.
The challenge is to make e-mobility even easier. The customer wants to charge his electric car – preferably uncomplicated and convenient. We make this possible with our own chargeBIG app: The app is opened on the charging plug via NFC or QR code and the charging process starts in just a few seconds. ” says Matthias Kreimeier.
We would like to thank Matthias Kreimeier for his commitment to MAHLE chargeBIG so far. We wish him every success in the new challenge within the company.
