In addition to the large number of charging points that Stuttgart Airport already operates, it now has further charging points from chargeBIG, which are used for charging employee and customer vehicles as well as for charging fleet vehicles on the apron. All chargeBIG charging points were implemented with phase-individual and dynamic load management so that peak loads in the airport network due to e-mobility can be avoided. The grid connection did not have to be extended for the electrification. The integration of the charging infrastructure into the building management system was of particular interest to Stuttgart Airport.
The chargeBIG system runs virtually trouble-free – with over 10,000 charging processes, not a single locked cable.
