On 17 March, Dr. Anna Christmann visited the MAHLE headquarter in Bad Cannstatt. The Member of Bundestag is already familiar with MAHLE and learned about the company’s innovation activities during her visit.
The first item on the agenda was a visit of the chargeBIG charging infrastructure, where Nicole Heinrich and Sebastian Ewert, representing the Corporate Startup, explained the technical features of the innovative charging concept. More than 100 charging points are already in operation in the car park at the MAHLE Group headquarter. During the discussion, the regulatory challenges encountered by the chargeBIG team during the project were addressed.

After the visit, Jochen Adelmann, Head of Corporate Planning, presented the MAHLE Incubator program in detail to Dr. Christmann and reported on the positive experiences associated with it. He explained the special importance of the internal innovation programs for MAHLE, as they not only produce new products and business ideas, but also bring new project processes and agile working forms into the organization. Dr. Christmann showed great interest and was particularly impressed by our new projects in the MAHLE Startup Space.
