A leading automobile manufacturer has implemented a charging infrastructure project in collaboration with MAHLE chargeBIG. The aim was to make the delivery of electric vehicles more efficient and safer. The vehicles should be fully charged upon delivery without disrupting ongoing operations on the factory premises.

On October 9, 2025, SIGNal Design held its 13th Fleet Day in Schwäbisch Hall — an industry gathering focused on modern fleet solutions and sustainable mobility. MAHLE chargeBIG was part of the event and presented smart charging infrastructure for electric vehicle fleets.

At IAA MOBILITY 2025 in Munich, MAHLE chargeBIG presented the latest solutions for intelligent and scalable charging. The developments aim to make the expansion of electromobility more efficient and sustainable.

MAHLE chargeBIG: Founded in Stuttgart and already with several thousand charging points in the field. The first project was implemented at the MAHLE Group headquarters in Stuttgart—with over 100 charging points that continue to supply electricity to employees’ vehicles and the company fleet to this day. Current evaluations show that demand continues to grow and even more charging points are needed.

On 23 July 2025, MAHLE held its annual Media Tech Day at the Group headquarters in Stuttgart. Around 60 media representatives from national and international trade and business publications accepted the invitation to gain an exclusive preview of the Group’s latest product innovations.

On 10 July 2025, MAHLE announced: Clear the stage for new ideas and technologies. This year’s MAHLE New Ventures network event in Stuttgart focused on the exchange of ideas relating to innovations, partnerships, and future-oriented solutions. MAHLE chargeBIG was also part of the event.

A total of 64 smallBOX charging points have been put into operation in the Fehrle car park in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The car park is centrally located in the immediate vicinity of the train station and offers a suitable charging infrastructure for short-term parkers as well as commuters and long-term users.

On May 21, MAHLE chargeBIG invited guests to the electromobility network meeting at the MAHLE Museum in Stuttgart. Over 100 guests from politics, industry and trade associations took part in the networking evening, which was all about the future of charging.

MAHLE chargeBIG, the subsidiary of the MAHLE Group specializing in intelligent and scalable charging, presents its latest generation of the centralized charging system chargeCLUSTER addressing large user groups as well as its mobile charging solution smallBOX PORTABLE designed for temporary locations.

MAHLE chargeBIG presents world’s smallest wallbox in two variants. The “smallBOX” is available as an ECO version with a charging power of 7.4 kilowatts (kW) and as a PRO version with a charging power of 22 kW. smallBOX PRO can fully charge electric vehicles in three to four hours. The wallbox is connected to the integrated and central charging distributor known as “chargeCLUSTER”. It is available with two (size S), six (size M), or up to 36 charging points (size L). This new, modular approach makes it possible to respond flexibly to customer demands while further optimizing the costs per charging point. The launch of the new chargeCLUSTER charging distributor means all chargeBIG smallBOX charging systems are equipped with dynamic load management and can be billed in compliance with calibration regulations. The new generation of products from MAHLE chargeBIG is now available to order.

As part of MAHLE’s annual Christmas wish campaign, the subsidiary chargeBIG is donating EUR 2,750 for a good purpose. The recipients of the donations are charitable organizations from the Stuttgart region.

Under the motto “Baden-Württemberg: An automotive location with a future – opportunities and challenges”, the 8th annual event of the Strategy Dialogue Automotive Industry Baden-Württemberg (SDA) took place yesterday. Numerous participants from the automotive industry, science, research and representatives of civil society came together at the Karlsruhe Trade Fair Center.

The 42nd KS Energy and Environment Award of the Automobile Club KS e.V. 2024 goes to MAHLE chargeBIG. The subsidiary of the MAHLE Group won in Munich in the presence of the Bavarian State Minister for the Environment and Consumer Protection, Thorsten Glauber, in the “Mobility Systems” category with its chargeBIG6 charging solution.

For the fourth time, MAHLE chargeBIG presented its smart charging infrastructure solutions at the international trade fair in Munich.

chargeBIG is now offering its customers a charging card that can be used to activate the charging process quickly and easily.

chargeBIG is one of the winners of the mobiliTree Award, which was presented for the first time this year.

With a new training concept, chargeBIG wants to train its installation partners from installation to maintenance and handling of the partner portal.

MAHLE chargeBIG is taking part in the Fraunhofer “BiFlex-Industrie” funding project for bidirectional charging and remains true to its business model.

The environmental technology award of the state of Baden-Württemberg 2023 goes to MAHLE chargeBIG. The subsidiary of the automotive supplier MAHLE wins in the category “measurement, control and regulation technology, Industry 4.0” with the charging solution chargeBIG6. It is specially designed for charging electric cars in apartment buildings and for smaller fleets.

MAHLE chargeBIG wins the second Stuttgart Innovation Award in the category “mobility” and thus 25,000 euros in prize money. At the award ceremony on October 18, 2023 in Stuttgart’s city hall, the prize was handed over to chargeBIG by Lord Mayor Dr Frank Nopper.

Together with BABLE Smart Cities, Nicole Dötterer from MAHLE chargeBIG spoke about the future of charging infrastructure, the challenges and the solution for municipalities. Pilot projects and experience reports were shared with the participants.
